APPLETON, Wis. - Marian University women's soccer (3-1-1, 0-0-0 NACC) suffered their first loss of the season to Lawrence, 2-1.
 
	- Scoring started quick, with Lawrence's Ava Elders handing the Vikings a 1-0 lead at 1:30. 
 
	- Back-to-back shots by sophomore Sofia Vizcarra highlighted the many early shot attempts by Marian.
 
	- The Sabres trailed going into the half for the first time this season with a 1-0 deficit. 
 
	- Senior Brianna Guelig evened the score at 1-1 in the 50th minute, assisted by sophomore Maya Gray. 
 
	- At 82:28, Ava Elders scored her second goal of the night, ultimately being the game-decider for Lawrence, as Marian left with a 2-1 defeat. 
 
 
	- Marian held a 12-10 shots advantage and 7-6 advantage in shots on goal. 
 
	- For the second straight game, corner kicks were at a premium, with the Sabres recording two and the Vikings just one, all in the second half.
 
	- The Sabres had an eye-opening 8-1 margin in fouls, with six fouls coming in the second half. 
 
	- The loss ended the longest unbeaten start to a season in Marian women's soccer history. 
 
	- The Sabres fell to 7-11-2 all-time against Lawrence, following last year's 0-2 loss at Smith Field.
