FOND DU LAC - Marian University women's soccer (4-3-2, 1-2-0 NACC) scored six goals, including four in the second half to beat Lakeland, 6-0.
- Junior Emily Gordillo scored first, hitting the inside far post from 18 yards out to take 1-0 lead.
- At 35:51, sophomore Daniela Chaname scored off a centering pass from freshman Audrina Welsch.
- Gordillo opened the second half with her second goal of the night, hitting the bottom left corner from the top of the box.
- Senior Caitlin Traver continued the scoring for the Sabres, sinking two second-half goals, both assisted by junior Sophia Romo.
- Sophomore Sofia Vizcarra capped off the night with a score from the box in the 80th minute.
- Marian had an outstanding 40-1 advantage in shots, including 24-1 in shots on goal.
- The Sabres only needed one save from junior Cristal Muniz (1-0-0), trailing Lakeland 18-1 in saves.
- Marian also held a 7-1 lead in corner kicks, with six coming in the first half.
- The six goals was the most scored by Marian since Apr. 16, 2021, a 6-0 win at Alverno.
- The win gives the Sabres a 27-13 advantage in the all-time series against the Muskies, as the Sabres extend the series winning streak to 17 games, dating back to 2009.
