ADRIAN, Mich. - Junior Ella Spies has been selected as an NCHA Star of the Week, as announced by the conference Tuesday.

Spies (Fond du Lac, Wis.) had a strong start to the second half recording a four-point weekend in a non-conference series with MSOE.  Spies assisted the lone Marian goal in the opener before leading the Sabres to an overtime win in game two.  She assisted the opening goal of the game before scoring an extra-attacker, power-play goal late in the third period to force overtime.  In the extra session, Spies earned her second helper of the evening on the game-winning score.  The performance was her second multi-point game of the season.
