FOND DU LAC - Marian University NCAA men's ice hockey (6-12-2, 5-8-0 NCHA) earned its third straight win defeating MSOE 6-1 at home.
- The opening period was a stalemate but Marian broke through with two goals in a span of 1:56 in the second period.
- Junior Nolan Flint opened the scoring, assists to freshman Bronson Babyak and sophomore Robert Pizzey.
- Then a power-play goal from sophomore Brady Brenner put Marian ahead 2-0 with help from Flint and freshman Andrew Politoski.
- The 2-0 lead held going into the third before MSOE scored a power-play goal 29 seconds in to cut their deficit in half.
- Marian struck back quickly scoring at the 1:01 and 1:20 marks.
- Junior Colin Handy netted the first goal before junior Cole Carlson scored 19 seconds later to put Marian ahead 4-1.
- The scoring barrage continued at the 4:28 mark when sophomore Eemil Rautio scored with help from junior Caden Carlson.
- Junior Brendan Bottem closed out the scoring with 4:45 left to play with assists to Flint and Brenner.
- A defensive battle, Marian held a 24-18 advantage in shots.
- The Raiders had a slim advantage on face-offs at 33-31.
- Each team finished 1-for-3 on the power play.
- Marian has now scored at least six goals in two of its last three games.
- The Sabres improve to 55-36-3 all-time against the Raiders.
