MADISON, Wis. - Marian University men's volleyball (6-15, 2-7 NACC) fell to Edgewood to open the week 25-19, 25-21, 25-18.

- The Sabres opened with a modest 9-6 lead and brought their advantage out to 10-9.
- Edgewood was able to break the set open going on an 8-1 spurt.
- Similarly in set two, Marian opened with a 6-4 lead before the Eagles went on a 13-4 run to lead by seven.
- Marian rallied to cut its deficit down to two on a pair of occasions but the Eagles held off the rally.
- Four unanswered points in the third set saw Marian hold a 12-11 lead.
- The Eagles then scored nine of the next 12 points to build a five-point lead.
- Edgewood managed to end the match on a 5-1 run.

- Each team had 35 kills and 41 digs in the match.
- The Eagles finished with 15 total blocks and seven service aces.
- Marian had at least 10 kills in each set but hit only .140.
- This is the first win for Edgewood over Marian in six matches.
