MEQUON, Wis. - Marian University baseball (12-18, 6-12 NACC) bounced back from an 8-4 loss to defeat CUW 3-2 and earn a road split.

GAME 1 (L, 8-4)
- CUW was able to plate a run in the first, but Marian responded in the fourth when freshman Randall Von Haden brought home a run with a double.
- The tie was short lived as the Falcons plated four runs in their half of the fourth.
- Similarly, Marian answered in the next half inning bringing home three runs.
- Sophomore Ayden Kanaman and junior Marc Jones each brought home a run with a single as Marian trailed just 5-4.
- CUW used consistent offense scoring single runs in the fifth, sixth, and seventh to pull away.
GAME 2 (W, 3-2)
- A pitching duel broke out in game two with Marian scoring first in the fourth inning.
- Junior Ryan O'Toole produced the run for Marian with a double.
- The Falcons took their first lead of the game in the sixth with a single that brought home two runs.
- Sophomore George Hoss Jr. was able to tie the game in the seventh before freshman Connor Schroeder helped Marian retake the lead with a sacrifice fly.
- Sophomore Blake Griesbach came into the bottom of the seventh with the bases loaded and one out and left all three Falcons on base with a strikeout and fly out.
- The Sabres didn't allow a base runner the rest of the way to salvage the split.

GAME 1
- The Sabres were outhit in the game 15-10.
- Marian had three defensive miscues to only one for CUW.
GAME 2
- Marian had seven hits and only allowed three hits defensively.
- Each team had two errors with only one of the Marian runs being earned.
- Marian is now 60-36 all-time against CUW holding a 4-1 record over the last five games at Kapco Park.
