DE PERE, Wis. – Marian University men's soccer (0-4-1, 0-1-0 NACC) had one of its best defensive performances of the season but fell to St. Norbert 1-0.
- The two sides combined for just seven shots in the opening period with neither side finding the back of the net.
- The even play continued into the second half as the two sides went back and forth.
- St. Norbert broke through first scoring in the 69th minute.
- The Sabres nearly had an equalizer in the 78th minute but a Braeden Juergsen shot found the woodwork followed by a Fernando Mota shot that was saved.
- Marian had the lone shot the remainder of the match but it was saved to seal the 1-0 final.
- Each side had 10 shots with SNC holding a slim 5-3 edge for shots on goal.
- St. Norbert had eight corner-kick opportunities, while Marian had five.
- The Sabres were called 11 times for a foul with the Green Knights having seven fouls.
- Marian falls to 3-8-3 all-time against St. Norbert with the Green Knights taking the last four meetings.
- The last three meetings at SNC have been a tie and a pair of one-goal defeats for the Sabres.
