Marian University

Bryan Burgert was named the associate head coach of the Marian baseball program in 2016 and has served as a coach for the program since 2007. Coach Burgert's duties include working with the offense, catchers, base running, and being responsible for the team's recruiting efforts.

In his first season as full-time assistant in 2013, the pitching staff compiled a 3.76 ERA, which ranked 10th all-time in Marian's storied history. Other achievement's for the staff included the sixth-most strikeouts (240), fourth-fewest walks (107) and fifth-fewest hits (306) allowed in Marian annals. 

Burgert played under Coach Bartlet from 2003-06. His senior year, he was a First Team All-Lake Michigan Conference selection, as well as being named the Team MVP. He served as captain his senior season. Burgert compiled an impressive 7-1 record his senior year, leading the team in innings pitched (66.1), ERA (2.85), opponents’ batting average (.208) and was third in strikeouts (30). Burgert currently holds the all-time record for winning percentage at Marian as he finished with an 11-3 (.786) career mark.

Bryan and his wife, Kristin, currently reside in Oshkosh with their three children Beckett, Greyson and Liam.
