Holly Heeb was named the first head coach of the Marian University field hockey program in November of 2021.

Heeb joins the Sabres after serving as a graduate assistant for Concordia Wisconsin for the past two seasons.  The Falcons went 7-13 during her tenure with a 7-11 record this past season, tying a program-best for wins in a single season.  CUW was able to qualify for the SAA Conference Tournament as the No. 3 seed after going 2-2 in conference action.  Heeb aided in the coaching of five all-conference student-athletes including the SAA Defensive Player of the Year.  Three of the all-conference honorees were first-team selections.

Prior to CUW, Heeb was an assistant coach for two seasons at SUNY Morrisville of the SUNYAC.  The Mustangs would have a pair of NFHCA Scholar-Athlete honorees following the 2018 season, and the program was able to earn their first NFHCA National Academic Team Award during her tenure. She also helped coach three individual student-athletes who ranked in the top 23 of the nation including fourth for saves per game, 14th for assists per game, and 23rd for defensive saves.

"I'm honored and humbled to start, lead, and build the Marian University field hockey program," said Heeb.  "I'm excited to compete in the SAA conference, grow the game as the second NCAA program in Wisconsin, and execute the vision I have for Marian field hockey.  I am appreciative of Jason and the search committee for believing in me and providing me with this incredible opportunity."

Heeb was a highly-decorated field hockey player at Hendrix College where she also played lacrosse.  She was named a Longstretch/NFHCA All-Great Lakes Region honoree all four years of her career with a second-team award in 2015 followed by three-consecutive first-team selections.  Heeb started in all 47 games of her career at Hendrix setting program records for goals (32), assists (21), points (85), shots, and shots on goal.  She also earned All-Southern Athletic Association recognition all four years of her career and served as a team captain for two seasons.  Along with her playing career with the Warriors, Heeb participated in the 2018 NFHCA All-Star Game, and in 2017 was selected to play in an international tournament hosted by the country of Barbados.

Off the field, she served as a member of SAAC at Hendrix and earned All-Academic honors from the SAA.  She also earned a selection to the NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad in 2015.  Heeb would be awarded the Bob Courtway Leadership Award for her commitment to academics, athletics, and community service following the conclusion of her athletics and academic career at Hendrix.

The St. Louis, Missouri native is the founder of the USA FUNdamental Field Hockey program in Arkansas, which helped introduce the sport of field hockey to children who otherwise may not have had the opportunity to be exposed to the sport.

Heeb earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Hendrix in 2018 and earned a master's of science in student personnel administration in higher education with a concentration in athletic administration at CUW.
