2025-26: Finished out his career with Marian being named to the All-NACC Second Team.  He led Marian in rebounding at 8.9 per game, ranking third in the conference. Vassilakis recorded 12 games with 10 or more rebounds and finished with nine double-doubles on the year, third in the NACC. Defensively, he grabbed 36 steals to put him 10th in the NACC.  In an early-season match-up against Augsburg, he posted a career-high 15 rebounds to go along with 14 points. He followed that with a 24-point, 13-rebound performance in a win over Benedictine, shooting 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. During a four-game stretch from Jan. 31 to Feb. 11, Vassilakis averaged 19.5 points and 11.2 rebounds while knocking down nine three-pointers. The stretch concluded with a win over Wisconsin Lutheran where he scored a career-best 25 points on four three-pointers and added 11 rebounds. His 250 total rebounds rank fourth in the Marian single-season records.


2024-25: He made an immediate impact in his first season as a Sabre.  He was one of just two Sabres to start in all 26 games during the season averaging 7.5 points per game to go with a team-high 7.5 rebounds per game.  Vassilakis had a pair of double-doubles on the season going for 13 points and 10 rebounds against Illinois Tech and No. 17 Wisconsin Lutheran.  He would grab double-digit rebounds in six games finishing third in the NACC with 2.62 offensive rebounds per game, and ninth in the conference for total rebounds.  Vassilakis had double-digit points in eight games.  One of his top performances came at Rockford where he shot 4-of-7 (.571) from beyond the arc as part of a season-high 18 points.  He also had seven boards and a steal in the road victory.

Prior to Marian: Spent two seasons at Joliet Junior College.  Last season, he was the Region IV Player of the Year and named a Third Team All-American.  He would average 15.7 points per game with 6.8 rebounds per game and 3.2 assists per game in that campaign as the Wolves finished 18-16 and won a Great Lakes District Championship.

High School: Competed in basketball at Lockport Township High School.
