Second Team All-NACC (April 9, 2026)

2026: Earned his first All-NACC award being named to the Second Team.  He finished the season third in the NACC for kills per set (3.57), fourth for points per set (3.97), and 10th for digs per set (2.29).  Calderon-Castro had six double-doubles on the season ending the year with a 15-kill, 17-dig performance at Concordia Chicago in a four set win.  His offensive prowess saw him record double-digit kills in 17 matches with a career-high of 24 coming in a five-set defeat at Judson.  Calderon-Castro also became just the fourth student-athlete in program history to reach 300 kills in a single season.  Defensively, he finished with double-digit digs seven times with his career-high of 17 coming in the previously mentioned double-double at CUC.  His impact was also felt at the net as he ranked second on the team with 12 solo blocks and 33 total blocks.  Through 49 career matches, Calderon-Castro ranks seventh all-time in Marian history with 542 kills.

2025: Had a strong freshman campaign competing in 89 sets over 25 matches.  Finished the season with 242 kills, 16 service aces, 141 digs, and 31 total blocks.  Had double-digit kills in 12 matches with a season-best of 19 coming in a five-set match at Illinois Wesleyan.  Also had double-digit digs in five matches with a season-high of 16 coming against North Park at the Cal-Lu-Fornia Invitational.  That performance was one of four double-doubles on the campaign.  Tied for the team lead in service aces with multiple aces in five matches.  Ranked 13th in the NACC with 2.72 kills per set and 14th in the conference with 3.12 points per set.

High School: Competed in volleyball and track and field at Saint John's School.  Helped lead the Hurricanes to two conference championships and five appearances at the quarterfinals of the National Tournament.  Ranked fourth at the National Tournament for serving, digging, and sixth for scoring.
