(Ashland, WI) - Nick Cinquegrai (Rolling Meadows, IL) and
Dakota Dubetz (Chestermore, AB) both recorded hat tricks on Friday in the Sabres 10-2 victory over Northland College. Marian wasted no time getting started in this one as they scored five goals in the first period to help them ease their way to victory.
Cinquegrani, Dubetz, Justin Cormier (Calgary, AB), Nathan Brummitt (Calgary, AB), and Brendan Roberts (Calgary, AB) all scored in the first period, with Cinquegrani's tally coming on the power play.
Leading 5-1 in the second, Cinquegrani and Dubetz both lit the lamp with the Lumberjacks scoring in-between the two goals.
In the third, the two stars of the game scored again, with Dubetz scoring a power play goal with just :27 to play. Chris Thompson (Woodbury, MN) also scored in the period.
Cullen Caldwell (Calgary, AB) registered his first victory of the season in net as he recorded 22 saves.
Brendan Hull (Calgary, AB) led the team in assists with three, while Brummitt, Tommy Fitzpatrick (Ft. McMurray, AB), and Brian Pierpont (Superior, WI) all added a pair of assists.
The Sabres out-shot the Lumberjacks 49-24 and finished 2-for-3 on the power play.
