(Milwaukee, WI) - Marian University won their Northern Athletics Conference opener on Thursday evening, by defeating Wisconsin Lutheran 9-0. The Sabres are now 2-5 overall and 1-0 in the NAC. 

Jory Lawson (Wausau, WI), Lucas Nieman (Oshkosh, WI), Kyle Ohland (Beaver Dam, WI), and Luis Cortes (Oshkosh, WI) all won their respective singles matches in two sets. Sam Cripe (Kohler, WI) and Andrew Bales (Iron Mountain, MI) won their matches in three sets. 

In doubles competition, Ohland and Nieman teamed up for an 8-1 victory at \#1 singles. Cripe and Bales were 8-2 winners at \#2 doubles, while Lawson and Cortes also won 8-2. 

The Sabres are at home on Saturday, as they will host Dominican University.
