(Fond du Lac, WI) - Dakota Dubetz (Chestermore, AB) scored three goals and added two assists on Saturday, helping Marian earn a 9-1 victory over Northland College in MCHA action. Dubetz earned the hat trick with all three of his goals coming on the power play. He capped off an excellent weekend, scoring seven points (5G/2A).
The Sabres (11-5, 8-3 MCHA) dominated play in this one with a 56-17 advantage in shots on goal. They also finished 4-for-10 on the power play and scored four times in both the second and third periods.
Dubetz started and finished the scoring. He scored the lone goal in the first and then scored the last two goals of the game.
Todd Collins (Whitby, ON), Zack Fray (Cambridge, ON), Brendan Hull (Calgary, AB), and
Tom Glomski (Waupun, WI) all scored in the second period for Marian. Fray and Glomski's goals were the first of the season for them.
In the third,
Tommy Fitzpatrick (Ft. McMurray, AB) and
Justin Cormier (Calgary, AB) added goals with Dubetz.
Alex Bjerk (Roseau, MN) stopped 16 shots in the game for Marian.
