(Fond du Lac, WI) - Marian University led from start-to-finish on Thursday evening in their 77-44 victory over Maranatha Baptist Bible College. The Sabres moved to 12-8 overall and 6-8 in the Northern Athletics Conference with the win.
The Sabres canned nine 3-pointers in the first half and took a commanding 46-14 lead into the locker room. Marian shot 16-for-26 in the half and were led by
Alexis Becker's (North Fond du Lac, WI) 16 points.
In the second, Marian continued to coast and built a lead as large as 48 points.
Becker finished with a big night, posting team-highs in points (24), rebounds (8), assists (6), and steals (3).
Elizabeth Zutz (Valders, WI) added 17 points and 7 rebounds, while
Dani Huray (Little Chute, WI) added 14 points and 5 assists. Huray was 4 of 4 behind-the-arc.
Maranatha was led by Torey DeLozier's 15 points.
Marian is back in action on Saturday, as they will travel to Dominican University.
