Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 (Fond du Lac, WI) - Edgewood College got a pair of solid pitching performances on Saturday and shut down the Marian offense en route to a pair of victories at Herr-Baker Field. The Eagles won game one 11-4 and finished with an 8-3 victory.

Marian never led in the first game and the Eagles broke open a 3-1 lead in the sixth with four runs. They added three more in the seventh to make it 10-1.

Marian's Tim Holtz drove in a pair with a double in the bottom of the seventh, but that was all the closer the Sabres would get as both team went on to score a run later in the game.

The Eagles knocked out nineteen hits compared to Marian's eight. Ryan Walker and Scott Ortega both had four hits in the victory.

Matt Schroeder had a pair of hits for Marian.

In the finale, Marian took a 1-0 lead in the third as Holtz drove in a run with a sacrifice fly. Edgewood tied it in the fourth, but Marian made it 2-1 in the bottom of the inning as Will Martin singled in a run. The Eagles tied the game in the fifth and then grabbed control of the game in the sixth and seventh as they plated three runs each inning. Marian scored in the eighth to finish the scoring.

Both teams had nine hits and Marian was led by Anthony Porcaro and Garrett Dorn's two hits.

Edgewood's big blow came off the bat of Ryan O'Dell as he gave Edgewood the lead in the sixth with a three-run home run.
