(Watertown, WI) - The Sabres ended a six-game losing streak on Monday afternoon with a pair of convincing victories at Maranatha Baptist Bible College. Marian won game one 11-5 and won the finale 15-7 to move their winning streak against the Crusaders to 56 games. The Sabres are now 11-13 overall and 8-6 in the NAC.
In game one, Marian fell behind 5-0 after two innings, but came from behind to win easily. The Sabres big inning came in the fifth as they plated six runs. The big hit in the inning was a three-run double off the bat of Jace Unrein. Marian went on to score single runs in the sixth, eighth and ninth and added a pair in the seventh to provide insurance.
Dustin Andrus pitched 7.2 innings of scoreless relief to earn the victory. He gave up just three hits and struck out ten.
Anthony Porcaro, Matt Schroeder, and Unrein all had a pair of hits in the win. Unrein drove in the three runs, while Ryan Hiller drove in a pair. 
Marian out-hit Maranatha 12-9 in the game.
Marian dominated the second game from start-to-finish as they plated seven runs in the first. They pounded out sixteen hits.
Adam Diedrich picked up his first career victorie as he struck out three in his seven innings of work.
Garrett Dorn led the offense with four hits (two doubles) and four runs. Beau Burgert, Porcaro and Unrein all had a pair of hits in game two. Porcaro drove in three runs, while Will Martin, Hiller and Unrein all drove in two.
Porcaro and Martin both had a pair of stolen bases.
