The Sabres erased a 1-0 deficit when Brian Berger scored his first goal of the year to tie the game heading into the first intermission. Assists were credited to Derek Perl and Rjay Berra.
Austin Frank cut the deficit to 4-2 with under 8 minutes left in the third period, but a Brodie Jamieson's empty-net goal sealed the deal with 1:16 remaining.
