APPLETON, Wis. – The Marian University men's tennis team took on Lawrence University at the Fox Cities Racquet Club for their third match of the year and were defeated 9-0.

The Sabres gave a good fight in doubles play, but the attack of the Vikings was too much to overcome. The number one pair of Jose Valencia and Spencer Brsawell won a team-high two games as the Sabres were swept in straight-sets in doubles play.

It didn't get much easier for the Sabres in singles play. Peyton Trammel and Zachary Stanczyk each earned points for Marian, but the Sabres were unable to take a set as they were defeated 6-0.

The Sabres look to turn things around, tomorrow, March 14, when they host St. Norbert at 4 p.m.
