Box Score 2 OSHKOSH, Wis. – The Marian women's volleyball team dropped its final two matches of the UW-Oshkosh Tournament Saturday evening.
Marian went five sets with Maranatha Baptist (17-25, 25-22, 25-23, 23-25, 14-16) and fell in four sets to UW-River Falls (25-22, 14-25, 27-29, 15-25).
Against Maranatha (5-3) the Sabres were led by junior Jessica Roberts. The Oshkosh native recorded a match-high 13 kills on 44 total attacks. Amber Baker also had a match-high 42 assists and three digs.
As a team the Sabres hit .166, while the Sabrecats hit .159.
Roberts was strong against River Falls (6-5) and led the Sabres with 12 kills. Catelyn Brehm and Buntrock helped out with six kills each.
As a team the Sabres hit .045 and recorded 23 errors.
Marian (1-9) returns to the court Tuesday against Edgewood.
