Marian men's tennis earns first win with NACC split

FOND DU LAC - Marian University men's tennis (1-6, 1-3 NACC) fell 7-2 against Dominican before defeating Concordia Chicago 6-1 for their first win of the season.

The Sabres fell behind in doubles action against Dominican with Danny Roe and Lawson MacDonald earning an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles.  MacDonald then earned the lone Sabre win in singles action at No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-3.

Marian then dominated Concordia Chicago opening with a doubles sweep.  MacDonald and Roe once again earned a No. 1 doubles win 8-6 with Coy Paulson and Austin Hall winning No. 2 doubles 8-5.

Roe earned a sweep of the match with a No. 1 singles win at 6-0, 6-4 and MacDonald completing a 4-0 day with a 6-4, 4-6, 11-9 No. 2 singles win.  Paulson would earn a victory at No. 3 singles with scores of 6-1 and 6-4, while Kyle Carignan earned a No. 5 singles victory by default.

Marian returns to NACC action at home next weekend taking on Lakeland at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 13 before hosting Prairie State in an exhibition.
