Box Score 2 MEQUON, Wis. - Marian University baseball (20-23, 14-6 NACC) saw their season come to an end after being defeated by Concordia Wisconsin 4-0 and MSOE 6-2 at the NACC North Tournament.
The opening game of the day saw the Sabre bats struggle against Concordia Wisconsin. Marian would manage just five hits and were shut out for only the third time this season. Senior Sean Meyer had three of the Marian hits going 3-for-4 at the dish. Freshman Logan Lange (3-5) had a strong start on the bump going 7.0 innings allowing just three earned runs with seven punch outs.
In an elimination game immediately after, the Raiders were able to strike first before Marian scored their first runs of the day. Senior Michael Snow opened the scoring for Marian with an RBI single up the middle in the bottom of the second. The Sabres were then able to take the lead in the bottom of the third when senior Nick Bastien scored from second base on a wild pitch.
The Raiders were able to tie the game in the sixth and then took the lead with a three-run seventh inning. All of the runs scored by MSOE in those innings were unearned. The Sabres were able to load the bases with two outs in the eighth but were unable to push across any runs in their last chance to rally.
Sophomore Robbie Knorr had the lone multi-hit game for the offense going 2-for-4 with a walk. Senior Noah Imrie (2-6) had a strong outing going 6.1 innings allowing just one earned run, while fellow senior Taylor Middaugh provided 2.1 innings of relief without allowing a single hit.
