Box Score FOND DU LAC – Marian University Men's soccer (5-5-1, 2-2-1) defeated Illinois Tech 3-1 for their second NACC victory of the season.
Things got off to a fast start with IIT striking first on a unassisted goal from Younghoon Jung in the second minute. The Sabres got the equalizer from
Giuliano Corazzina with his seventh goal of the season in the ninth minute.
The Sabres never looked back after Corazzina's goal by adding two more goals in the second half by
Drew Cowden with an assist to Max Kaufmann and
Giuliano Corazzina with an assist to
Israel Duran. Aiden Jerome gave up an early goal but finished the day without surrounding a second goal.
The Sabres finished with a 21-12 edge in shots and limited the Scarlett Hawks to six shots in the second half. With the victory,
Aden Jerome moves to (3-3) on the season.
The Sabres will be back in action in a NACC matchup on Wednesday, October 5 at 4PM against Dominican.
