Box Score RIVER FOREST, Ill. - Marian University men's soccer (6-5-1, 4-2-1 NACC) held on late to defeat No. 7 Dominican 4-3 on the road.

Drew Cowden scored with an assist to fellow junior
Giuliano Corazzina. The Stars responded at the 28:07 mark but the tie lasted just nine seconds as Marian immediately scored again. It was the same duo finding the back of the net but the roles were reversed as Corazzina scored with an assist from Cowden. This gave Marian a 2-1 edge going into the break.
The Stars quickly tied the game scoring just 3:20 into the second half. Marian once again had a fast response scoring twice in the span of 2:39 from the Dominican goal. The first goal gave Cowden a multi-goal game and he was assisted by senior
Max Kauffman at 48:38. Corazzina then answered with his second of the game at 50:59 to put Marian ahead 4-2. Dominican was able to score in the 69th minute but Marian was able to hold on down the stretch for the win.
Dominican held a slight edge in shots by an 18-13 margin with Corazzina and Cowden each recording five shots. Junior
Aden Jerome (4-3-1) made five saves to earn the win in goal for the Sabres.
Marian returns to River Forest, Ill. Sunday, Oct. 9 to take on Concordia Chicago for a 2 p.m. NACC match-up.
