OSHKOSH, Wis. - Marian University men's basketball (5-5, 4-1 NACC) was defeated by UW-Eau Claire 76-41 to open the BSN Winter Classic.

• Both offenses had a tough time to open but Marian held a 16-11 lead with 9:59 left to play in the opening half.  
• UW-Eau Claire then outscored Marian 18-4 for the remainder of the half to take a 29-20 lead into halftime.
• The Blugolds continued to use the momentum using a 13-2 spurt to open the second half with a 42-22 lead with 12:51 left in the game.
• From there, UWEC was able to cruise to a 76-41 win.

• Marian had its worst shooting performance of the season only shooting 14-of-55 (.255) from the field.  
• UW-Eau Claire shot 27-of-52 (.519) from the field and 10-of-20 (.500) from beyond the arc.
• The Sabres outscored UWEC 13-11 in second-chance points.
