DE PERE, Wis. - Marian University men's soccer (3-4-1, 1-1-1 NACC) earned a tie at St. Norbert with a 1-1 final.
All of the scoring came in a 40-second span as the Sabre defense was able to hold on for a tie. The two squads combined for 11 shots in the first half but only two of those would be on frame, both for the Green Knights. Â
St. Norbert had controlled possession for most of the game until junior
Giuliano Corazzina scored his fifth goal of the season at the 66:53 mark. Senior
Max Kauffman and fellow junior
Logan Holevas each assisted the goal. The lead only lasted 40 seconds, however, as SNC was able to finally strike and even the score. The final 20 minutes saw SNC fire four more shots on goal but Marian was able to hold on for the tie.
The Green Knights held a 21-3 advantage for shots and the Marian goal was the lone shot on goal for the Sabres. Junior
Aden Jerome (1-2-1) finished with seven saves making five of his saves in the second half.
Marian takes on Benedictine at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 in a road NACC match.
