Katelyn Matenaer of Marian University softball has been picked as the NACC Position Player of the Week.
Matenaer (West Bend, Wis.) led Marian to wins over Northland and UW-Stevens Point to open the season.Â
Matenaer went 3-for-4 in each game with five of her six hits being extra-base hits. She had three home runs between the two games with two coming against UW-Stevens Point. Matenaer finished with eight runs driven in and 17 total bases for a 2.125 slugging percentage.

Marian opens THE Spring Games Sunday, March 5 taking on Illinois College and La Roche University.
