FOND DU LAC - Marian University women's lacrosse (3-2, 0-0 NACC) defeated Elmhurst 12-1 for its third straight win.

   

• The Sabres jumped out fast scoring the first five goals of the game with two being man-down goals.
• Marian would lead 3-0 after the first quarter and 7-1 going into halftime.
• Junior Taylor Russo scored the lone goal of the third period before Marian put the game away with four goals in the final stanza.
• Marian had four different goal scorers in the fourth quarter setting the final at 12-1.

   

• Marian outshot Elmhurst 40-9 in the victory.
• The Sabre defense forced 46 turnovers and held Elmhurst to 8-of-37 (.216) on clear attempts.
• The Sabres also had a 9-7 advantage for draw controls and 33-21 edge in ground balls.
• The current three-game winning streak is the longest in program history.

 

Junior Dallas Kreisa continued her stretch of strong play scoring three goals with an assist.	Junior Kayla Kolpitcke had six ground balls and caused five turnovers.	Sophomore Izzy Newton had a pair of goals to go with five ground balls and four caused turnoveres.
