Dallas Kreisa of Marian University women's lacrosse have been named the Sabres of the Month for March.
Horman (Appleton, Wis.) led the Sabres to an historic month of March where Marian went 6-0. He scored 26 goals with 15 assists for 41 total points during the month of March earning him three straight NACC Offensive Player of the Week awards. Three of his goals proved to be the game-winner and scored six man-up goals. Horman also led the team with 33 ground balls while also causing five turnovers. He opened the month with back-to-back performances where he recorded double-digit points with a 12-point performance at Mount St. Joseph and 10-point game at Spalding. In the first match-up against Northland, Horman would have a three-point game while also grabbing 10 ground balls. Horman had multiple caused turnovers against Mount St. Joseph and Northwestern (Minn.). Horman leads the nation with 13 man-up goals and ranks third in the country with 7.12 points per game.
Kreisa (Plymouth, Wis.) helped lead Marian to a 5-2 record during the month of March including a perfect 2-0 mark at home. She paced the Marian offense scoring a team-high 18 goals to go with seven assists for 25 total points. Kreisa led the team with 27 ground balls and 23 draw controls with her 11 caused turnovers ranking second on the team during March. She was able to net one game-winning goal and one of her goals was a woman-down score. Kreisa had multiple goals in all but one game in the month with a six-goal game coming at Anderson (Ind.). In that game against the Ravens, she also had two assists for an eight-point game and grabbed six ground balls with six draw controls. On the defensive side, Kreisa caused multiple turnovers in four games, including the final three games of March, with four of her caused turnovers coming in the final game of the month against Wartburg.
Marian University men's and women's lacrosse travel to Concordia Chicago tomorrow, Saturday, April 1, to open NACC play. The women begin the doubleheader at 1 p.m. with the men to follow at approximately 3 p.m.
