FOND DU LAC - Marian University women's lacrosse (5-7, 0-3 NACC) couldn't hold off a late Falcon rally in a 12-8 loss at home to CUW.

   
 

• Concordia Wisconsin was able to jump out to an early 3-1 lead on the Sabres after the first quarter.
• A goal from junior Nicole Stachon was the only score of the second quarter as Marian trailed 3-2.
• The Sabres opened the third quarter strong scoring three of the first four goals to take a 5-4 lead. 
• Junior Jazmine Barrios had a pair of the Marian goals in the stretch.
• The Falcons were eventually able to tie th game at 6-6 and rattled off five unanswered goals to go up 11-6.
• Marian would score two of the final three goals but couldn't overcome the late Falcon push.

   
 

• Marian had a hefty 45-24 advantage in shots for the game.
• The Sabre defense forced 45 turnovers and held the Falcons to just 11-of-36 (.306) on clears.
• Concordia Wisconsin had a 38-36 edge in ground balls and 13-11 advantage in draw controls.
