Marian Baseball Bounces Back with Sweep of WLC

WAUWATOSA, Wis. - Marian University baseball (16-17, 9-9 NACC) returned to NACC action with a 6-3 and 2-0 win over Wisconsin Lutheran.

GAME 1
  • Marian was able to start fast with junior Logan Rademan driving in two runs in th first inning.
  • A bases-loaded walk from fellow junior Caleb Dohms in the second saw Marian go up 3-0.
  • The two squads traded runs in the fourth and sixth with sophomore Gus Walker driving in a run as Marian held a 5-2 advantage.
  • A key sacrifice fly from Rademan in the ninth built the Sabre lead to 6-2.
  • WLC managed to get the tying run to the plate but could only plate one putting the final at 6-3.
GAME 2
  • A pitching duel broke out in game two with junior Robbie Knorr driving in a run with a sacrifice fly in the third to to open the scoring.
  • Marian would manag to plate a run in the sixth for all the scoring of game two.

GAME 1
Junior Logan Rademan was 3-for-4 with three runs driven in.
Graduate student Jonah Landowski was 3-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored.
Graduate student Taylor Middaugh (5-2) went 7.0 innings striking out six and allowing just two earned runs.

GAME 2
Graduate student Jonah Landowski (4-2) dominated going 8.0 striking out 14 Warriors and allowing just four hits.  He also went 2-for-4 with a run at the plate.
Junior Robbie Knorr had the lone run driven in between the two teams going 1-for-2 with a walk.
Senior Brady Zackrison was 2-for-4 in game two.
