THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - Marian University women's lacrosse (0-3, 0-0 NACC) led by three goals at halftime but fell to Cal Lutheran by a final score of 18-12.

- Cal Lutheran scored just 41 seconds into the game and were able to build an early 3-1 lead.
- The Sabres would bounce back over the final five minutes of the quarter outscoring CLU 4-1 to lead 5-4 at the end of the first quarter.
- Senior Nicole Stachon had a pair of the goals for the Sabres.
- The Regals quickly tied the game to open the second but Marian once again had a strong quarter outscoring Cal Lutheran 4-1 the rest of the way.
- Stachon had another pair of goals in the quarter as Marian led 9-6 at halftime.
- Cal Lutheran would dominate the third quarter outscoring Marian 8-0 and led 14-9 going into the final 15 minutes.
- The Sabres were able to cut their deficit down to as small as four on two occasions but CLU was able to put the game away with the final two goals.

- Marian was outshot by a slim 35-31 margin in the defeat.
- The Regals also had a slim 23-21 advantage in ground balls and 17-16 edge in draw controls.
- Marian had just two free-position goals on eight chances, while CLU went 5-of-8.
- This was the first meting between the two programs.
