CHICAGO - Marian University women's lacrosse (3-7, 1-0 NACC) defeated Illinois Tech 13-6 in its first NACC game of the season.

- Marian opened the scoring with a pair of goals before Tech netted a woman-up goal at the 2:26 mark to put the Sabre lead at 2-1.
- The Sabres ended the first quarter with a pair of goals in the final 57 seconds to spur a dominating finish to the first half for Marian.
- Entering the second quarter ahead 4-1, the Sabres would shut out the Scarlet Hawks and score five goals of their own to lead 9-1 at halftime.
