FOND DU LAC - Marian University men's basketball (12-2, 5-2 NACC) trailed by as many as 18 points but rallied to defeat Aurora 68-67 on the road.
- Aurora opened with a slim 7-6 lead and extended its advantage to 21-8 with a 14-2 run.
- The Spartans extended its lead to as large as 17 points before Marian used a 12-4 run to only trail 31-22.
- A strong finish to the half saw Aurora extend its lead to 38-25 heading into the break.
- The opening minutes of the second half saw the Spartans extend its lead to 51-33 with 15:39 to play.
- The Sabres slowly chipped away at its lead but the Spartans still led by 13 with 8:02 left.
- Marian then scored 10 unanswered to only trail 62-59 and 3:52 on the clock.
- The Sabres were able to continue the momentum and took its first lead of the game 1:08 to play.
- Both sides struggled at the charity stripe in the final minute with the Sabres managing to hold on to a 68-67 win.
- Marian was 19-of-37 (.514) and 9-of-17 (.529) on three-pointers.
- In the second half, Marian was 12-of-20 (.600) from the field and 7-of-10 (.700) on triples.
- Aurora finished 23-of-53 (.434) from the field and 4-of-21 (.190) from beyond the arc.
- The Sabres were also 21-of-26 (.808) from the charity stripe.
- Aurora had a 34-18 advantage in points in the paint and won the turnover battle 18-10.
- This is just the second time in program history Marian has defeated Aurora multiple times in a single season, 2021-22.
