DUBUQUE, Iowa - Marian University NCAA men's ice hockey (0-6-1, 0-5-0 NCHA) scored the opening goal but fell to Dubuque 4-1.
- Junior Nolan Flint continued his strong start to the season opening the scoring at the 7:49 mark of the opening period with an assist from sophomore Dayne Tews.
- The 1-0 led held into the first intermission but lasted only 1:31 into the second before Dubuque tied it.
- The Spartans then scored two goals separated by 2:18, the second being on a power play, to conclude a three-goal period.
- The final Dubuque goal then came at the 3:52 mark of the third period and put the final at 4-1.
- Dubuque finished with a 28-23 edge in shots with 10 of the Marian attempts coming in the first period.
- Face-offs were nearly even with Dubuque winning 32 and Marian 29.
- Each team had five power-play chances with Dubuque scoring once and Marian being held scoreless.
- Marian has allowed 39 goals this season with 31 of them coming in the second period or later.
- This is the first win for Dubuque over Marian in six meetings.
