FOND DU LAC - Marian University men's lacrosse (1-2, 0-0 NACC) won a defensive battle defeating Clarke 6-5 for its first win of the season.

- Marian was able to have a strong start scoring with 4:42 and 36 seconds left in the opening stanza.
- Clarke had the lone score of the second period to put the Sabres ahead 2-1 at halftime.
- The Pride were able to tie the game 4:15 into the second half only for senior Serge Simard to put Marian ahead 3-2 going into the final quarter.
- Simard scored the first two Marian goals of the final quarter with a Pride score sandwiched between to put Marian ahead 5-3.
- After Clarke cut their deficit to one for a second time, senior Trevor Stachowski found the back of the net with a man-up goal with 2:45 remaining to extend the Marian lead to 6-4.
- A late man-up goal from the Pride with 1:04 left cut the Sabre lead to one but Marian was able to hold off the late push.

- Clarke finished with a 49-25 edge for shots and a 40-28 advantage for ground balls.
- The Sabres were only 27-for-45 (.600) on clear attempts.
- Each team had one man-up goal with the Sabres having four chances and Clarke six.
- This was the first meeting between the two programs.
