Rieden (2) Summary Box Score Game Recap: Baseball | 4/10/2025 7:26:00 PM Streaking Sabre baseball quieted by Ripon FOND DU LAC - Marian University baseball (12-11, 7-3 NACC) was defeated by Ripon 5-4 in its first home game of the season. Ripon pushed across a run in the top of the first but Marian immediately responded to take the lead. A run-producing single from senior Logan Rademan tied the game before a sacrifice fly from fellow senior James Bornick put the Sabres ahead 2-1. The Sabre lead didn't last long either as Ripon brought home a run in the second and third to lead 3-2. The early bonanza of runs continued in the fourth when senior Gus Walker tied the game at 3-3 with a sacrifice fly. The Sabres were able to retake the lead in the sixth with a first-and-third double steal. This advantage held until the eighth when Ripon tied the game on a wild pitch and shortly after took the lead off of a single. Marian was set down in order in the final two innings as the Red Hawks finished off the comeback win. Marian was held to a season-low two hits in the defeat. The Sabres fall to 26-40 all-time against Ripon and have lost the last five meetings. Sophomore Carson McLean threw 4.0 innings of perfect relief striking out four. Senior Jacob Kleemann was 1-for-2 with a walk, hit by pitch, and run scored. Sophomore Keon Booker scored a run and was hit by two pitches.
