MILWAUKEE - Marian University women's ice hockey (6-7-0, 3-5-0 NCHA) scored three special-teams goals in a 5-4 overtime win at MSOE.
- Sophomore Piper Miller continued her hot stretch opening the scoring at the 13:04 mark with assists to junior Ella spies and sophomore Zowie Hunter.
- The Raiders needed just 43 seconds to tie the game and took the lead going into the second period with a power-play goal with just 2:24 left in the stanza.
- Sophomore Jessica Tadevich evened the score at 2-2 at the 8:13 mark only for MSOE to retake the lead with 6:33 left in the period.
- A short-handed goal from freshman Yazmine Gonzalez put the score at even 3-3 going into the final period.
- MSOE scored the opening goal of the third period at the 8:39 mark to retake the lead.
- Marian had an empty net and five seconds into a power-play evened the score with a goal from Spies with 1:30 to play.
- Senior Rebecca Larson earned the lone assist as Marian went to overtime for the second time this season.
- Marian dominated the extra session and capped it off when Hunter lit the lamp with 56.2 seconds left, assist to Gonzalez.
- Marian held a 32-28 advantage for shots in the game.
- The Raiders once again had an edge in draws by a 39-20 clip.
- Marian finished 2-for-4 on the power play, with a short-handed goal, while MSOE was just 1-for-6.
- It was the first game where Marian had multiple power-play goals since 2014.
