FOND DU LAC - Marian University women's ice hockey (8-9-0, 5-6-0 NCHA) scored two goals in the third period to defeat Lawrence 3-2 in NCHA action.

- Marian was able to start strong when junior Ella Spies scored on a breakaway at the 6:09 mark of the opening period.
- Lawrence found its equalizer with 8:07 left in the period and took the lead 3:39 later.
- The 2-1 Viking lead held all the way into the third period when sophomore Piper Miller buried a one-timer in the slot at the 8:13 mark with help from senior Piper Miller and sophomore Zowie Hunter.
- The same trio gave Marian then gave Marian the lead just 28 seconds later.
- A physical finish saw Marian stave off a 4-on-3 power play and hold the Vikings scoreless with an empty net for the final 52 seconds.

- Marian finished with a 33-14 advantage in shots holding the Vikings to only two shots in the third period.
- Each team had 23 wins on face-offs.
- Neither team scored a power-play goal with Marian having four chances and Lawrence three.
- The Sabres are now 1-7-0 this season when trailing after two periods.
- Marian is now 9-2-3 all-time against Lawrence and 6-0-1 at home against the Vikings.
