FOND DU LAC - Marian University women's ice hockey (5-7-0, 3-5-0 NCHA) fell to MSOE 6-1 in a non-conference game to open the second half of the season.
- MSOE was able to jump out to an early lead after scoring a pair of goals in the first period.
- The second Raider score came on a power play.
- Marian cut its deficit in half when sophomore Piper Miller scored a power-play goal 3:56 into the second period, assists to junior Ella Spies and sophomore Zowie Hunter.
- It was the second straight game Miller lit the lamp for Marian.
- The Raiders responded with a pair of power-play goals to lead 4-1 going into the final period.
- Another pair goals from MSOE in the final period set the final at 6-1.
- MSOE finished with a 43-19 advantage in shots with double-digit shots in all three stanzas.
- The Raiders also had a 47-16 advantage on face-offs.
- The Sabres were 1-for-3 on the power play while MSOE finished 3-of-8.
- Marian held MSOE scoreless on three power-play chances in the third period.
- The Sabres are now 2-3-0 all-time against MSOE after the two teams split four meetings last season.
