DE PERE, Wis. - Marian University men's volleyball (4-8, 0-1 NACC) fell to St. Norbert in its NACC opener 25-22, 25-15, 25-18.

- Marian had an early lead opening the match with a 10-7 advantage.
- The Green Knights then had an 8-2 run to build a three-point lead.
- The Sabre deficit was cut to one several times but SNC was able to hold off Marian for the win.
- After a 6-5 start to the second for SNC, the Green Knights went on an 11-4 spurt to pull away and go up 2-0.
- The third set was similar as the two sides started to an 8-8 stalemate before SNC scored the next five points to take the lead for good.
- The Green Knights had another five unanswered points later in the set to secure the sweep.

- St. Norbert had a 40-33 edge in kills, while Marian had a slim 30-29 advantage in digs.
- The Green Knights had nine blocks to only four for the Sabres.
- SNC finished with a .315 hitting percentage and had at least 11 kills in each set.
- Marian is still in search of its first win away from Sadoff Gym.
- The Sabres are 4-2 all-time against St. Norbert.
