RIPON, Wis. - Marian University baseball (11-17, 5-11 NACC) was finally able to finish its series with Concordia Chicago falling 8-4.

- The Cougars were able to score the first five runs of the game and led 5-0 going into the bottom of the sixth.
- The bottom of the sixth opened with a Cougar error and Marian was able to take advantage scoring three runs.
- Freshman Connor Schroeder got Marian on the board with a one-out single.
- The junior Lucas Lemons drove in two runs with a two-out single to put the score at 5-3.
- This score held all the way until the ninth when CUC was able to pull away with three runs.
- Sophomore Sawyer Shultis was able to bring home a run in the bottom half of the final frame to put the score at 8-4.

- The Cougars finished with a 14-7 advantage in hits.
- Each team had one error with Marian scoring three unanswered runs and the Cougars one.
- The Marian pitching staff was able to strand 12 Cougars on the base paths.
- Marian has now dropped four straight meetings against CUC.
