Marian women's lacrosse closes season at Lawrence

APPLETON, Wis. -  Marian University women's lacrosse (3-13, 2-7 NACC) closed out its season falling Lawrence 8-4.

  • The Vikings took an early lead scoring the first two goals of the game.
  • A woman-up goal from junior Justice Cole helped cut the deficit down to 2-1 going into the second quarter.
  • The second quarter saw Lawrence build its lead to 5-2 going into halftime with the Marian goal coming from freshman Shaelyn Klassen.
  • Another goal from Klassen with 6:35 left in the third helped cut the Marian deficit down to 5-3 going into the fourth quarter.
  • The Vikings opened the final quarter with a pair of goals to pull away.
  • Cole would score once more as the two squads traded the final goals of the game.
