PLYMOUTH, Wis. - Marian University softball (18-18, 15-9 NACC) split its penultimate regular season doubleheader with Lakeland, winning 3-2 in game one before dropping game two, 6-3.
GAME 1
- The Sabres totaled three hits and loaded the bases in the third but came away empty.
- Lakeland broke a scoreless tie with two runs in the fourth.
- Marian finally plated a run in the sixth with junior Mackenzie Christofferson reaching on an error following her double to start the inning.
- The seventh proved pivotal for the Sabres, as they scored two runs on four hits, with senior Carissa Heisdorf and junior Savanna Knuth each driving in a run.
- Lakeland put two runners on in the bottom of the seventh and advanced one to third, but Marian held on for the 3-2 win.
GAME 2
