MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Marian Sabres track and field team participated in the first round of the 2015 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday, May 1.
"We had a lot of success and I am extremely happy how things turned out," Head coach Dan Allen said. "We had a number of personal and season bests and a finals qualifier."
Kristin Skubic had an impressive showing in the 800-meter run. The senior finished in fourth, running a time of 2:27.48.
Sydney Cihak ran the 200-meter dash in 30.84 seconds to finish in 19th.
Kaitlyn Zorn behind Cihak in the 200-meter dash running a time of 32.07 seconds and also finished 22nd in the 100-meter with a time of 14.88.
Justin Cooke and Cole McCaig took part in the 400-meter dash. Cooke clocked in at 53.45 to finish in 11th, while McCaig finished 22nd with a time of 58.22.
McCaig finished 21st in the 800-meter run, clocking in at 2:25.61, while Andrew LeRoy came in at 2:43.16 to take 23rd.
Mark Whiteley finished 26th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.79.
The Sabres wrap up the season on Saturday, May 2 when Skubic and Cooke take part in the final round of the NACC Championships.
