Box Score EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - Marian University women's lacrosse (0-4) was defeated by UW-Eau Claire 21-6 to close out the season series.
The Blugolds jumped on the Sabres scoring the first nine goals of the game. The Sabres would manage three goals in the opening stanza but another six unanswered goals towards the end of the half gave UWEC a 15-3 advantage going into the break. The Sabres were able to keep things much closer in the second half holding UWEC to only six goals, but Marian was only able to manage another three scores to bring the final to 21-6.
The Sabres had four different scorers led by freshman Ashtyn Stoor who had three goals with an assist on seven shots on goal. Freshman Nicole Stachon also added five ground balls, while fellow freshman Grace Moll (0-4) made 12 saves in goal.
Marian will travel to Edgewood Tuesday, April 13 for a 7 p.m. start in non-conference action.
