FOND DU LAC - Marian University men's soccer (7-6-2, 5-3-2 NACC) used two goals in the second half to defeat Aurora 3-1.
A defensive start to the game saw neither team score until the 36:52 mark when Aurora found the back of the net first. The Sabres were able to rally late and scored with just 1:24 left until haltime to even the score. Junior
Giuliano Corazzina netted the goal, his 12th of the season with an asssit from fellow junior
Drew Cowden. Then seven minutes into the second half, Cowden was able to find the back of the net to give Marian its first lead of the day. Junior
Logan Holevas earned an assist on the goal. Cowden then netted his seventh goal of the season to cushion the Marian lead at the 78:04 mark, assist to Corazzina.
Aurora outshot Marian 14-11 with Corazzina recording a game-high four shots, three of which were on frame. Junior
Aden Jerome (5-3-1) earned the win in goal making four saves.
Marian hosts Lakeland Wednesday, Oct. 19 for a 7 p.m. NACC match-up.
