GREENCASTLE, Ind. - Marian University women's basketball (2-8, 1-3 NACC) fell to host DePauw 84-55 to open the Amy Hasbrook Memorial Tournament.

  • DePauw was able to take an early lead on the Sabres in large part due to rebounding.  Marian trailed 22-8 after the first 10 minutes and allowed eight offensive rebounds in the quarter.
  • The Sabre offense had a much better second quarter shooting 6-of-12 (.500) from the field and scoring 21 points.  Marian still trailed 47-29 at the break.
  • Marian had its best defensive quarter in the third holding DePauw to 16 points.
