MILWAUKEE - Marian University women's soccer received 229 points to finish the NACC preseason poll in sixth place, as voted on by the head coaches and sports information directors of the league.
Dominican was picked as the favorite to win the conference receiving 11 first-place votes and 372 total points. MSOE and CUW each earned seven first-place votes and finished second and third, respectively. Illinois Tech was the final institution to receive first-place votes tallying three and taking fourth in the poll. The preseason poll has St. Norbert and Marian rounding out the postseason.Â
Finishing with more than 200 points and just behind the Sabres was Aurora and Benedictine. Concordia Chicago, Edgewood, and Wisconsin Lutheran all eclipsed the 100-mark for points. The poll was rounded out by Lakeland, Rockford, and Alverno.

Marian opens the season at Beloit Thursday, Sept. 1 for a 2 p.m. kick-off.
