FOND DU LAC - Marian University women's lacrosse (4-3, 0-0 NACC) set a program record for wins in a single season with a 13-6 win over Wartburg.

   

• Marian scored the first two goals of the game only to have Wartburg responded with a pair of scores.
• The Sabres were able to answer taking a 4-2 lead after the first quarter with the final two goals of the opening quarter.
• The Knights were able to tie the game at 4-4 with 12:56 left until half before sophomore Izzy Newton put Marian ahead 5-4 going into the break.
• After trading goals to open the third, Marian scored three unanswered goals to take a 9-5 lead into the final stanza.
• The two squads once again traded goals to open the fourth quarter.
• The Sabres were able to put the game away scoring the final three goals of the game.

   

• Marian outshot the Knights by a 41-14 margin and had a 16-1 advantage in the final quarter.
• The Sabre defense forced 33 turnovers and held the Knights to just 6-of-29 (.207) on clears.
• The Marian clear finished 10-of-13 (.769) for the game.
• Ground balls were in favor of the Sabres as well bya. 37-23 margin.

 

Sophomore Emma Heide paced the Sabre offense scoring two goals with four assists.	Junior Dallas Kreisa scored two goals to go with six ground balls and four caused turnovers.	Junior Kayla Kolpitcke scored two goals with an assist adding four caused turnovers.
